Commercial car storage

The best care there is for your customers' cars

You know how vital your customers' cars are to them; as custodians, you have a duty of care beyond a fiscal transaction. There is emotion attached to these cars, and your customers trust you to give each and everyone the best care available. At Dehum we have designed a range of commercial car storage solutions designed to preserve and protect customers' cars.

You’ve done everything to keep your customers’ cars as secure as possible from external forces.

The privacy and security of your locations are paramount in ensuring exposure of your customers’ vehicles is kept to an absolute minimum. You’ve installed a state of the art CCTV system, an alarm linked to a Police call centre.

The building will have had a full fire risk assessment conducted and acted upon if needed. Appropriate insulation is used to try and regulate sudden spikes in temperature. Visitors to the site are controlled and vetted very carefully.

But what about RH?

RH (Relative Humidity) is a measure of the air’s water vapour content. This measurement is expressed as a percentage (%RH) of the amount needed to achieve saturation at the same temperature. This measurement falls under the study of Psychrometrics, which is the study of thermodynamic properties of gas-vapour mixtures.

Although the principles of psychrometry apply to any physical system consisting of gas-vapour mixtures, the most common system of interest is the mixture of water vapour and air because of its application in heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning and meteorology.

What it means

In human terms, our thermal comfort is essentially a consequence of not just the temperature of the surrounding air but (because we cool ourselves via perspiration) the extent to which that air is saturated with water vapour.

All materials are susceptible to the level of water vapour in the air. Too little moisture (Low %RH) and materials dry out; too much moisture (High %RH) and materials absorb the excess moisture and become damp and, if left, will start to rot.

What's at risk

Suppose you have not ensured you are in complete control of the humidity level of your buildings. You could be running the risk of allowing the adverse effects of unregulated moisture to affect your customers’ cars.

The PROTECT team have been specialists in engineering dry air since 1996, working with industry-leading companies to solve their humidity issues. From drying sweets to ensuring metal structures housing, mid-level nuclear waste is not affected by humidity, increasing production speed in foam manufacturing.

Over these years, solving various problems with innovative solutions has allowed us to become experts in engineering dry air. Our installations are proven to be robust, cost-effective, profitable, serviceable and scalable, backed up by an industry-leading after-sales service department who are on hand 24/7.
